Pevonia for Men Aqua-Gel Foaming Cleanser
When it comes to skincare products, I like to stick to the philosophy of “less is best.” When a face wash is crammed with ingredients (many of which are unnecessary), I get a little dubious. I just want simple (maybe it has to something to do with the Japanese traditions of moderation, which is so ideal). Thankfully I got my hands on Pevonia for Men Aqua-Gel Foaming Cleanser ($38), which is condensed with gentle and effective (and minimal) ingredients that all improve your skin.
Pevonia is a spa-based skincare line that focuses on organic extracts in their products, which are all paraben free, alcohol free, lanolin free and mineral oil free. In my experience, my male friends don’t even look at these factors when buying their face wash, so it’s good to know Pevonia just happens to be good for them. My only gripe from giving this product a full A+ is that two top ingredients are sodium C14-16 Olefin sulfonate (often tagged with sodium lauryl sulfate but an alternative if anything) and sodium lauryoyl oat amino acids. As you know, while primary cleansing agents, these ingredients are known to be mild irritants but its considerably argued that they remain so briefly on your skin it can’t have too much of an impact. So unless you fall asleep in the shower with this cleanser lathered on your face, you are most likely in the clear from major damage.
